ACCESSIBILITY OF INFORMATION
Information referred to in the scheme will be available at the
Council's offices at Municipal Buildings, Earle Street, Crewe or
Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe except where other access
arrangements are noted. Some information is available
at the Nantwich Tourist Information Centres (TIC). There are
reception points at the Municipal Buildings, Delamere House and the
Nantwich District office at Beam Street, Nantwich, For those
without their own computer, the Council's website can be accessed
through the Access C&N office in Earle Street, Crewe.
Most information can be made available in alternative formats,
for example, in Braille, large print or on audio tape. If
this is required, please contact the Democratic Services Office,
telephone 01270 537659. Similarly, translations can be
arranged through that office.
A translation service is available for some text in the
Council's website into the following languages:-

- French
- Italian
- Spanish
- German
- Portuguese
- Dutch
- Greek
- Russian
The publication scheme itself is initially in hard copy format
and is available on the Council's website by the first review
of the scheme. Direct links to relevant websites will be provided
wherever possible. The provisions of FOIA relating to general
requests for information will come into force in January
2005. Until then a person has a right to access the
information listed as available in this scheme. The Council
intends to put in procedures for FOIA requests for information in
time for these further access provisions coming into force.
