POLLING PLACES
The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places
(Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006
The Electoral Administration Act 2006 introduced a duty for all
relevant authorities to conduct a review of the designated polling
districts and polling places for Parliamentary constituencies.
Notice is hereby given that a review of all polling districts
and polling places in the Crewe andf Nantwich Borough area will
take place during the next few weeks.
We are looking for feedback on any aspect of polling districts
and or polling places currently used and invite representations and
comments from all interested persons, along with any suggestions of
alternative places that may be used as polling places.
As part of the review, the Returning Officer will be
consulted on the Council’s proposed polling arrangements and the
Returning Officer’s comments will be published during the
review.
Local political parties and councillors will be consulted and
views are invited on the Council's proposals, the Returning
Officer’s representations or any other matter, from electors within
the Parliamentary Constituency of Crewe and Nantwich, and those
parts of the Eddisbury constituency in the Borough, as well as such
persons as may have particular expertise in relation to access to
premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of
disability.
