NOTICE OF ELECTION

AN ELECTION OF

SEVEN PARISH COUNCILLORS

IS TO BE HELD FOR THE PARISH OF CALVELEY

1.     Nomination Papers can be obtained from the Returning Officer at MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS, EARLE STREET , CREWE, CW1 2BJ.

2.     Nomination Papers must be delivered before NOON on Friday, 06th June 2008, to the Returning Officer at MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS, EARLE STREET , CREWE, CW1 2BJ.

3.     Forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the undersigned who will, at the request of an elector, prepare a nomination paper for signature.

4.     If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 03rd July 2008.

5.     Electors and their proxies should note that amendments and cancellations to existing postal and proxy vote applications and new applications to vote by post must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Buildings, Earle Street Crewe by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 18th June 2008 if they are to be effective for this election.

6.     New applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday 25th June.  In cases of unforeseen medical emergency, applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5pm on Thursday 3rd July 2008.
