Paying Your Council Tax
Council tax is a daily charge and the bill
is payable over ten monthly instalments from April to January, when
the bill is issued in April. If the bill is issued in later
months then the number of instalments reduces. Instalments are due
on the 1st of each month, unless payment is made by Direct Debit
when there is a choice of 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of each
month. Twice yearly payments are also available on the 1st
May and 1st September.
Application
must be made in writing to the Council
Tax office for twice yearly payments.
As
an incentive, all Direct Debit payers are automatically entered
into a twice-yearly Prize Draw with the chance to win a prize equal
to the payments made in the previous half year. The Prize
Draw is held in April and September every
year.
Direct Debit
- If you have a suitable Bank or

by direct debit you can pay free of charge at any post
