LOCAL ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENT SCRUTINY
COMMITTEE
This Committee is concerned with the environment, economic
development, planning and development and day to day services
affecting the appearance of the area and surroundings of borough
residents such as street sweeping, litter picking, street lighting
etc. It also looks beyond the Council and is concerned with
issues such as climate change, pollution, waste disposal and other
environmental matters.
At the Council meeting on 13th
June 2007 the three Performance and Overview Committees were
renamed as Scrutiny Committees to be a more accurate representation
of their role from a public
perspective.
