27        DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

No Member made any declaration of interest in respect of any item on the agenda.

28        MINUTES

RESOLVED:  That the minutes of the meeting of Sub-Committee No. 7 held on 24^th October 2006 be approved as a correct record.

29        LICENCE FEES FOR 2007/2008

At its meeting held on 24^th October 2006, Sub-Committee No. 7 had approved increases in licence fees for Hackney carriage, private hire vehicles and private hire operator licences, subject to statutory notice being given of the proposed increase and consideration of any objections received.

Notice of the proposal had been advertised and one letter of objection had been received, from the Crewe and Nantwich Taxi Association.

The Sub-Committee was invited to resolve that the objection be not sustained and that the revised fees be brought into effect from 1^st April 2007.

RESOLVED:   (a) That the objection be not sustained; and

(b) That the revised licence fees for Hackney carriages, private hire vehicles and private hire operators, as detailed in the report, be brought into effect from 1^st April 2007.
