AGENDA
1.
Declarations of Interest
Any Member present (including non-Committee Members) to
declare any personal or prejudicial interests and the nature of
that interest, in any item of business on the agenda and, if
necessary, to leave the meeting prior to discussion of that
item.
Members who also serve as County, Town or Parish Councillors
are reminded of the need to make declarations in respect of any
item which directly concerns the business of the appropriate
authority.
Declarations are a personal matter for each Member to
decide. Whilst officers will advise on the Code
of Conduct and its interpretation, the decision to declare, or not,
is the responsibility of the Member, based on the particular
circumstances.
2.
Minutes
To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the
meeting held on 1st June 2006
(2).
The Committee is invited to consider the report of the
Senior Planning Officer [Conservation]
(4) and approve a number of
additions to the List of Buildings of Local Interest which forms
part of the Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council's Replacement Local
Plan 2011.
The developer has proposed that the westward extension to
Bedford Court be named "Kenneth Close" after a close
relative. However, the proposal is
contrary to current street naming policy which states that
-
"Personal names i.e. names which relate to developers
personal friends or relatives will not be approved".
The Borough Planning Officer recommends that the
properties be numbered as set out in the report submitted
(5).
The developer Muller Property Holdings has proposed the name
"Orchard Grove" for the development to which the Royal Mail has no
objection. The Parish Council has objected to
the proposal and has submitted a list of alternative names for
consideration.
The report of the Borough Planning Officer
(6) invites the Committee to
select a name.
Information report of the Borough Planning
Officer (7).
Note:
In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work
Act the Council is required to notify those attending meetings of
the fire evacuation procedures. A copy has
previously been circulated to Members and instructions are located
in all rooms within the Civic
Suite.
This agenda can be made
available in larger text on request.
