COMMITTEE STRUCTURE
From 17th May 2001, Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council introduced a
completely new way of working aimed at speeding up decision-making
and encouraging people to take more of an interest in decisions
affecting their lives.
A Council Board together with three Scrutiny Committees and several
other Committees have replaced the old system. These changes
were designed to:
- Speed up decision making
- Encourage people to take more of an interest in our work
- Increase the time Councillors have for the people they
represent
- Provide Performance and Overview Committees to oversee the work
of the Council Board and help develop new policies.
