Board Members and Portfolios 2008/09
At the Annual Council meeting held on 14th May 2008 the
composition of the Council's Board was amended. The Board now
consists of ten Members - the Leader and nine Portfolio
Holders. The political composition of the new Board is nine
Conservative Members and one Nantwich Independent Member. The
broad overview of responsibilities of each Board Member is outlined
below - more detailed descriptions of their individual remits is
available by selecting the Portfolio titles from the table.

Leader of the Council
The provision of visible political leadership in relation to
citizens, stakeholders and partners in the overall co-ordination of
Council policies, strategies and service delivery.
Lead the development of local strategic partnerships.
Lead the Council's contribution to the Community Strategy
objectives.
Promote the core values and objectives of the Council's
Corporate Strategy.
