Need Help?
The new design and structure of the Crewe and Nantwich Borough
Council website may at first seem a little strange since it is a
major departure from the previous versions, and you may wonder
how to locate your favourite areas. This brief guide will help
you to find your way around.
Clicking the 'Home' link from any page will take you back to
the Website's Homepage.
The 'You are in...' bar under the main banner heading on every page
shows you where you are and where the page is in relation to the
site structure - selecting the previous links shown will
give you the option of returning to the homepage or just the start
of that section.
The structure of the site now covers 9 key areas based on a
Government category list called the APLAWS structure (Accessible
and Personalised Local Authority Websites) which is becoming widely
used among UK local authority websites. By using this
listing, areas of the Council's work are grouped together
under related sections more tailored to what the customer may
expect. The previous structure was based largely on
departmental responsibilities which at times was not
altogether clear for users of the site.
It's also now easier to find key Council Services with our A to Z
of Services displayed prominently in the header accessible
from every page. In addition the Search facility is
prominently positioned also as part of the header.
If you have any observations about the site, or any
suggestions on additional information or wish to report any
problems please e-mail the
Webmaster.
