Adopt a bin, verge or patch scheme
|
Residents in the borough of Crewe and Nantwich are being urged
to take pride in their areas by adopting a Bin, Verge or Patch the
idea behind the scheme is to make our Borough a better place to
live in.
Adopt a
Bin
Mrs Wright pictured here from Rope Lane, Shavington is the first
person in the borough to adopt a bin.
If you have a litter bin outside your house or would like one
because people are constantly dropping litter the Council can
supply it as well as a supply of black bin liners to insert into
the bin, in return all you would have to do is occasionally empty
the bin and put the full black bag into your own wheelie
bin.

Adopt a
Verge
Residents of the borough are being encouraged to adopt and
maintain the grass verge in front of their property, this ensures a
more frequent cut and a more enhanced and aesthetic appearance like
the one pictured on the left at Park Drive, Wistaston.

Adopt a
Patch
If there is a patch ground you would like to see cleaned up, you
and a group of residents can adopt the patch and tidy it up. "As
well as having a sense of ownership and the chance to tidy up bits
of land, communities can brighten the place up and feel a sense of
pride in what they are doing".
