From the 6^th April 2008 the National Standard Application form (1APP) will become mandatory for submitting all planning applications (except minerals).   Failure to complete the correct form will invalidate the application.    Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council introduced the use of these forms from the 1^st February 2008 to familiarise both the applicant and the LPA with the new system prior to the mandatory date. 

This Council encourages applicants to submit online via the Planning Portal.  The online form is able to help determine the planning consent required. This will significantly reduce the risk of an application being submitted on the incorrect form and therefore increases the chances of a valid application being submitted first time. This benefits both the applicant and the LPA staff who process the application, ultimately resulting in a faster decision.

Alternatively the standard planning application forms are available to download from the Planning Portal or from the Council’s website by clicking here.  Paper copies of the forms are also available from the planning helpdesk.  If you submit your application in paper form you will need to provide 4 sets (The original and 3 copies) of your application and any supporting information.
