The Council's Local Land Charges
Section
- Fee £75 (residential with lots of added value provided free of
charge)
- Provides a comprehensive response to all questions and is
authorised to issue a Certified Local Land Charges Certificate
(used by many mortgage companies)
- FREE OF CHARGE: supplied with your search maximum of 3 x
Copies of Decision notices and/or Approval notices
(Residential searches)
- You can contact us and see all about our service and
performance from the information we include on the
website
Personal Search Companies
These vary from company to company.
- Fees vary not all companies provide consumers with website
information
- Not all questions responded to (as not all information is in
the public registers)
- May use their insurance as cover for not providing you
with response
- No Authorised copies of Decision or Approvals provided
- Not authorised to issue a Certified Local Land Charges
Certificate (used by many mortgage companies)
- Contract may be with Solicitor and not you, so you cannot
contact them
If you do not use the request form and submit this to your
solicitor, he/she may make the decision for you and it may not be
what you had automatically assumed.
