Refuse Collection in Crewe and Nantwich

0128/ir
14th July 2008

Residents of Crewe and Nantwich are advised that, due to proposed industrial action by the public services union, UNISON, it is unlikely that there will be any refuse collection service on Wednesday the 16th and Thursday 17th of July.

The council is confident however that provision can be made for the collection of domestic waste (black bin). Borough residents who normally have their black bins collected on these two days should place their black bin out as normal.

Clearly the council’s collection service will face some disruption, but every attempt will be made to keep this to a minimum. Should your black bin not be emptied on either the Wednesday or Thursday, residents are asked to place their bin out for collection on Saturday the 19th of July when it will be emptied.

There will be no collection of Brown, Silver, or Green bins on these two days and residents are advised that excess waste will be collected on the next collection date.
