Yes, you did read that correctly. Street
Entertainment in town, on Saturday 12th July, is
certainly different for the norm as Go-Karting comes to Crewe on
the Market Square.
And – on the same day, anyone can have a go at
Archery in the specially erected netted area.
These are just two of the summer highlights to
tempt you to visit the town and make your stay even more
enjoyable. The sporty theme provides something different and
shoppers in town can try out these activities to see if they
enjoy them – and is it’s FREE, so why not?
By contrast, Nantwich will be buzzing with the
sounds of the Lions Youth Brass Band who will be performing in
town, while, at the Barony Park, there will be lots of activity and
fun as Nantwich Town Council present their Fun Day, with stands,
stalls, entertainers, music and a funfair.
Borough Councillor Jacquie Weatherill,
Portfolio Holder for the Local Environment, said: “Our
programmes are aimed to encourage a wide appeal and this is
certainly going to be a very different Saturday in town. All
the events throughout the spring and summer significantly add to
the vibrancy of the town and assists with ‘dwell’ time as people
enjoy the town’s activities whilst undertaking their weekly
shop.”
