Kendlebell in Crewe welcomes Mayor
The Mayor of the Borough of Crewe and
Nantwich, Councillor Maurice Jones and the Mayoress, Mrs Ann Jones,
visited a fast-developing business in Crewe on Tuesday
15th January. Kendlebell is a franchise owned and
operated by Helen Gould. Helen set up her business four years
ago to provide a telephone answering service for hard-pressed
businesses. First located in Breeden House on Edleston Road
in Crewe, the company quickly outgrew its original offices and now
operates from a suite of offices at 236 Nantwich Road.
The keys to the Kendlebell service are the
thorough training of their telephone response staff and the very
ingenious computer software that handles, filters and progresses
caller enquiries. All the staff go through a structured
three-month training programme and the clients calls are answered
for them from 8.30am through to 6.00pm. The company has been
a recognised ‘Investor in People’ since 2004. Kendlebell in
Crewe has just renewed its franchise for a further 6 years and is
developing a new service called ‘p.a. 4 you’.
Borough Councillor Jones toured the company’s
offices, met several of the staff and tried out the call-handling
equipment. He said: “I am pleased to see new young
businesses growing up in Crewe, creating wealth and employment
opportunities. What Helen and her team have achieved in their
first four years of trading should act as an example for others to
follow.”
