The group is run by YOUNG PEOPLE

to voice their views on sport at informal meetings.

Introduction
The Crewe and Nantwich Youth Sports Council is run by young people aged 12 years and above and is a sub group of the Crewe and Nantwich Executive Sports Council. The group's vision, which has been created by the members of the group, illustrates what the group is about, 'The chance for young people to contribute to SPORT in Crewe and Nantwich'.

Chair Person & Secretary Chair Person: Adam Clark who is a pupil at Malbank School Secretary: Amy Highfields who is a student a Manchester Metropolitan University Both are keen and enthusiastic about sport, and urge anyone who is interested in sport, whether they take part or enjoy watching sport to get involved with the Youth Sports Council

Aims/Objectives:

The group has drawn up some aims and objectives that are as down to earth as 'To have fun and make new friends' and as constructive as 'To promote participation and interest in sport within Crewe and Nantwich'.

To have fun and make friends.
To feed into the Crewe and Nantwich Executive Sports Council.
To enable young people to have a voice on sport in Crewe and Nantwich.
To promote participation and interest in sport within Crewe and Nantwich.
To publish and distribute up-to-date sports information.
To promote and/or support competitions, championships and other events.
To assist and advise in the formation of new sports clubs when appropriate.
To actively support the continued development of talented performers and/or teams within the Borough.
To improve communication links and develop partnerships between local clubs and other sporting organisations at both local and national level

Structure:

The group meet to have informal discussions.
The group is a sub group of the Executive Sports Council that feeds into Sport England.
CNBC Sports Development Unit sit on the group as a supporting role.
