Cheshire
and Warrington Partnership Youth Games

What is the Youth
Games?
The Youth Games is an annual
event that aims to provide young people an opportunity to take part
in fun and competitive sport and physical activity.
The Youth Games aims to:
- Develop and encourage participation, training and coaching
- Promote the links between schools and clubs
- Provide a sense of identity between participants and the Local
Authority they live or go to school in
- Develop sporting, physical activity and social links for young
people outside of their own communities
- Offer pathways for young people to progress to the level of
participation they wish
The six boroughs of Cheshire and
Unitary Authority of Warrington spend time choosing teams in a
variety of sports in preparation for the event.
The Cheshire and Warrington
Sports Partnership co-ordinate the Youth Games so for more general
