The Nantwich 5-a-side Football

30th June 2007

The Nantwich 5-a-side Football Festival is in its fourth year and again it was succesful in the sense the priority is about encouraging more participation in to football we had over 65 teams enter wich is an increase of 25% on the same event last year.
Teams came from all over Cheshire and even though the weather was extremley bad I think the majority of people enjoyed themselves as you can see from the photographs.

The course was 4 weeks in duration and provided the participants with knowledge to help them deliver fun and engaging coaching sessions in football. The course was orgainsed through the CNBC Sports development volunteer programme and was free of charge to the young people as they have registed as Volunteers with the sports development team. This is the first Community coach education program that we have run. Wulvern Housing kindly agreed to fund coaching uniform for all the JFO's who successfully passed the course..
