Street Sports League
The Street Sports
Programme runs it’s very own league, every Monday 5.30 to 7.30pm at
the Cumberland Arena. The concept of the league is to encourage
participants at the various community sessions to form teams, and
come together on a Monday evening and compete against teams from
other areas of the Borough.
In order to provide further opportunities for the young people
who participate on the programme, a Streets Sports League was set
up in mid May. The league runs every Monday at the Cumberland Arena
between 5.30 and 7.30pm.
The concept of the league is to
encourage participants at the various community sessions to form
teams, and come together on a Monday evening and compete against
teams from other areas of the Borough. From only having 2 teams at
the outset, there are now 10 teams regularly participating in this
league, equating to over 70 young people. For more
