Sports Specific Development
Groups
CNBC Sports Development Team
have set up the following sports specific development groups:
- Athletics
- Aquatics
- Cricket
- Football
- Rugby Union
The aims of these groups are as follows:
- Provide an opportunity for local clubs, coaches, volunteers and
people to contribute to the development of the sports
- Encourage participation within each sports by raising the
profile of the sport and widening its access
- To help co-ordinate the development of the each sport in the
local area by bringing together key partners
- Promote the role of sport within areas such as culture,
leisure, health, physical activity, regeneration, learning and
social inclusion agendas
- Provide continuous coach and club development
opportunities
- Provide a place where information can be shared in relation to
local, regional and national issues
- Provide an opportunity for the sharing of good practice
