22/01/07 - The centre will again be playing host to qualifying rounds for this year's Carlton National Leisure Centres Badminton Competition, in association with Badminton England. The competition is open solely to non-competitive players, with two of the centre's customers winning the 2007 men's over 50s doubles competition. 16 people have entered the 2008 tournament and we wish them the best of luck in the competition!

 

22/01/07 - The Shavington Festival Committee's 30th annual pantomime will be running from 12th - 16th February hosted at Shavington Leisure Centre and this year will be Aladdin. Tickets are available from the leisure centre reception

 

17/01/07 - Everybody Member and Shavington Circuit Training Instructor will be attempting to complete an 8 hour continuous challenge on the treadmill in the fitness suite on Saturday 2nd February from 9.00am in aid of St. Luke's Hospice. 19/10/07 - Street Sports - Wells Green Ward has kindly offered funding for activities for Young people at Shavington Leisure Centre. The centre has used this opportunity to bring 'Street Sports' to the Multi Use Games Area once a week. The scheme is co-ordinated by the Borough's Sports development section, and offers supervised activities for youngsters aged 8 - 16 years.
