20/02/08 - Leisure Operations runs a popular series of training opportunities for people to enter into the leisure industry. The latest batch of courses has now qualified 11 new ASA Level One Swimming Teachers and 10 new RLSS lifeguards.
Courses take place throughout the year for the ASA/UKCC Swimming Teacher and RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as well as a range of leisure CPD opportunities including our successful regional lifeguard seminar.

So far in the last 12 months there have been 67 new lifeguards and 29 new swimming teachers qualified through Leisure Operations giving 96 people new opportunities to work in the leisure industry.
More courses are planned for 2008 including expanding our range of course delivery to include fitness instructor training.

15/10/07 - The latest distance day took place on 10th November. Distance days are an opportunity for swimmers to try out some of the longer distance awards that would normally take too long for the Learn to Swim classes, but they are open to anyone who wants to try out for a distance badge between 25m - 1500m. The cost of taking part in the day is £1 with the price of the award to be paid in addition. Booking is essential - contact reception on the number below for more information.

15/10/07 - Swim/Run Series - The next series of Swim/Run events has been set taking place on Sundays from 9.45am - 11.00am. The date of the next event is:
