Coppenhall
Leisure Centre was opened in August 1978 and is a joint use centre
along with the newly named Sir William Stanyer Community School.
The leisure centre is situated in the Maw green area of Crewe.
Coppenhall Leisure Centre represents a
successful partnership between Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council
and Cheshire County Council due to the site share arrangement.
The Leisure Centre is home to the
unique indoor Netball (South Cheshire Premier Netball
League) and Cricket Leagues and is also home to the Crewe
Missiles Roller Hockey club.
Facilities
- Six court Sports Hall, measuring 110 ft (33.5 metres) x 80 ft
(24.4 metres) and the floor is of a granwood construction.
- Spectator Viewing Balcony
- Drama Hall (inc Stage area)
- Social Area
- Two Outdoor 11 a-side Football Pitches (Grasses) – THESE ARE
CURRENTLY UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION
- Separate Changing Areas for Male & Female users
