Extended League Format
Coppenhall Leisure Centre is proud to announce a link with the
Barony Park Sports Complex in Nantwich, which will see Netball
matches played on their various outdoor netball pitches through the
summer months. This new set up will see all administration of the
matches undertaken through the Netball League co-ordinator at
Coppenhall Leisure Centre.
If there are any teams who wish to join the league, play on the
outdoor courts or gain more information please contact Andrew
Chandler on 01270 537264 or via e-mail at
coppenhall@crewe-nantwich.gov.uk.
Matches will be played during the weeknights at the
complex.
The tennis courts at the Barony Park were re-surfaced in June
2006 using a polyurethane sealant and soft textured surface
dressing. The area has a good firm surface with a little
springiness to it to help create an even bounce of the tennis
balls.
The tennis court/netball court is adjacent to 2 dedicated
tennis courts with a small fence separating these. A 5-a-side astro
turf area which also has the capabilities for the provision of
netball is also adjacent. All these areas are flood-lit.
The tarmac area is predominantly hard surface and is enclosed fully
with a wire mesh fence. This area is also flood-lit.
The Cricket League
The league operates from early
October every year and plays through the closed winter period for
outside Cricket leagues.
Matches are played every Sunday morning throughout the operation of
the league.
