Do You Want to be Smoke Free?

If, like 74% of the population in Cheshire, you don't smoke then to eat and drink in an environment which allows smoking can sometimes be uncomfortable.  Central Cheshire Primary Care Trust has been working with local Borough Councils and other partners to encourage an increase in smoke free public places.

The project aims to increase awareness of the dangers of second hand smoke and smoking and wishes to assist businesses and organisations to all become smoke free!

Smoke Free Cheshire Award
Once smoke free, employers are offered the chance to receive a Smoke Free Cheshire award and promotional materials.  The award is significant in that it shows that an employer is concerned for the health of staff and visitors.  Smoke Free places not only remove the danger of second hand smoke inhalation, they also encourage smokers to cut down and perhaps even stop altogether.

Places to eat where smoke does not get in your eyes
If you fancy a sandwich or a snack then our smoke free award winners include all of the Harveys Sandwich Shops; All of the Chatwins Shops & Lounges; Greggs sandwich shops in both Winsford & Northwich and both of the Subway premises in Crewe.

For a meal you can visit Inglenook Tea Shoppe in Nantwich which serves a variety of home cooked meals; Pastiche Bistro, Prince Albert St, Crewe; Giovanni's Italian Restaurant in Crewe or Cronkinson's Farm in Stapeley the first smoke free pub in the area.
