Park Safely in Crewe & Nantwich

Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council have now taken over responsibility for enforcing parking, loading and waiting restrictions from the Police.

The County Council remains responsible for making the restrictions. The Borough Council will undertake enforcement as agents of the County Council using their own Civil Enforcement Officers.

 Car Parks   £70.00 FINE

Why has the Borough Council taken over responsibility for parking?

To free the Police to fight crime and other traffic offences.

What are the FACTS?

  • The Borough will get better enforcement of parking regulations, which will target bad and dangerous parking
  • The Council will use fine money to pay for the costs of enforcement, using any left over to improve transport and parking in the Borough
  • Civil Enforcement Officers will be employed direct by the Council, not a private company. They will NOT have targets or bonuses
  • The Civil Enforcement Officers will patrol when and where they are needed to sort out parking problems
  • Parking restrictions are NOT changing- they will just be enforced better
  • The fine or Penalty Charge Notice amount is £70 -reduced to £35 Higher Level and £50 Reduced to £25 for Lower Level if paid within 14 days of issue
