Car Park Appeals
Procedure
Once a ticket has been issued the
car Park wardens cannot withdraw the fine for any reason.
Any appeal / query must be made in
writing to the car park section, Crewe & Nantwich Borough
Council, Direct Services, Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PJ. Alternatively
you can complete our appeals form on line (see below). We
will reply within 5 working days from receipt of an appeal.
All appeals must be received within
7 days, if the appeal is rejected the discount period will be
extended to 7 days from the letter we send explaining the reason
for our decision not to accept the appeal. If we accept the appeal
we will notify in writing that the fine has been cancelled.
If the rejected appeal is not
accepted then a second appeal can be sent, however should this
second appeal fail the full fine will be payable. The car park
management will always decide the second appeal.
The decision at this second appeal
stage is final.
Any rejected appeals that result in
an unpaid fine will be passed to our debt collector and magistrates
court.
