Community
Engagement
The Wardens aim is to promote the message about acceptable
standards of behaviour in society and recognise that communities
demand a visible deterrent to social and environmental nuisance. A
key part of the roaming patrol work is to identify 'hot spots' and
to 'observe and report' anti-social behaviour incidents. The
Wardens are developing a profile for each ward, with the findings
being discussed and verified with representatives from each of
those localities. This information will be shared and discussed
with our professional colleagues and used to establish measures to
best to tackle the more persistent issues.
It is important to recognise
that the Wardens have no powers to arrest or detain people and they
cannot insist on being given personal details.
