Report to Crewe & Nantwich Board "Abatement of Mercury Emissions from Crematoria". Agreed that the process of Promession be investigated. The formation of a cross party advisory group consisting of:

  • Cllr Arthur Moran, (Nantwich Ind)

Meeting with Brian Patterson, Department of Constitutional Affairs.

Meeting with the Promessa Team, provisional arrangements made for a Presentation to be given at Crewe and Nantwich.

November 15th First meeting with the Advisory Group. Representative from Air Products attends to discuss the implications of using Liquid Nitrogen and how it works.
2006                    Information
January 3rd Flyer sent to all cremation and burial authorities inviting them to attend Promessa presentation at Crewe and Nantwich
February 2nd Advisory Group site visit arranged by Air Products to see size of tank involved in the use of liquid nitrogen.
February 15th Two Presentations by Susanne Wiigh Masak, (Lyceum Theatre and The Civic Hall, Nantwich).  70 Local Authorities represented and over 300 in attendance.
February 16th Advisory Group meeting with Promessa Team and representatives from Air Products.   Mr D McCallum Secretary to the Federation of British Crematorium Authorities invited to join the Advisory Group.
March 21st 

Advisory Group visit Air Products distribution plant at Carrington

March 24th  Meeting with K Stone, Applications Engineer, Air Liquide UK,
re: environmental impact of liquid nitrogen.
April 24th  Meeting with staff from the Scottish Executive, Health Division.
