needs and personal preferences of the family.
Where can a Civil Funeral
Ceremony be held?
A Civil Funeral Ceremony can be held
almost anywhere except religious buildings and churches. The
ceremony is appropriate for any non- religious burial grounds,

aspects of the ceremony. The Ceremony will be tailor made to
meet the wishes of the family. Appropriate or favourite music
is played and family or friends may read poetry or prose of their
choice. Hymns, bible readings and prayer can be included at
the family's request.
How does a Civil Ceremony
differ from a Humanist Ceremony?
The ceremony is a unique and
meaningful tribute to the deceased. The difference between a Civil
Ceremony and a Humanist Ceremony. A Civil Ceremony may include
Bible readings, prayer and hymns. A Humanist Ceremony does not
usually contain any religious elements.
