Nantwich In Bloom
BLOOMIN' LOVELY
Nantwich in Bloom have been
established for some 30 years working tirelessly for the community
to 'make a difference'. They have strong partnership links to
Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, Nantwich Town Council, Schools,
Businesses, Community Groups, Emergency Services, the Media, and
the community at large.
Today, the Britain in Bloom
initiative is about so much more than just plants, important as
they are...... and don't they make a difference too!
More details about this wider role
is now available by following

which is available in an electronic format.
Britain in Bloom is an all-inclusive
campaign, organized by the Royal Horticultural Society that
encourages communities of all sizes to make positive and lasting
improvements to their local areas for the benefit of local
people.
Judges like to see floral features,
permanent planting, wildflower meadows, planting for nature, fruit
and vegetable gardening, plus other core elements including
cleanliness and tackling issues of litter, graffiti, vandalism and
anti-social behavior.
Entries are encouraged to involve
all sectors of the community such as town centre management,
businesses, community groups, volunteers and schools to boost civic
pride and help retain a local identity. Britain in Bloom also
promotes good practice in the environment by encouraging recycling,
the establishment of conservation areas and other sustainable
projects.
The local Authority is also keen to
speak to any interested parties/persons, regarding re-establishing
the Crewe in Bloom Committee, if you are able to
spare some time, are interested and have appropriate skills to
offer please get in touch, we would be delighted to hear from
you.
