Nantwich Farmers'
Markets
The Farmers' market in
Nantwich takes place on the last Saturday of every month except
December. It is then brought forward to the Saturday before
Christmas.
You can expect to find a wide
range of local produce- availability does vary though as you might
expect- because of the variation in seasons! Here is a selection of
goods that we have regularly enjoyed- but if you want to know
what's going to be at any market- try calling us on 01270
255739 the week before the market.

Rules For Traders
All would-be traders on
these markets must comply with the rules below:
- Nothing other than food can be sold
- Only food which has been grown or produced within 30 miles of
Nantwich town centre may be sold. The only exception to this is
where the food type is so specialist that it cannot be obtained
more locally.
- Only the main producer or someone directly involved in the
production of the produce on sale is permitted to sell it. A
programme of on-farm checks is to be undertaken to ensure that this
rule is not being broken.
- During the summer months, the market will run between 9am and
3pm. Traders are not allowed to leave before 3pm unless they have
sold out.
- All stallholders must comply with all relevant food safety
legislation. Open foods cannot be sold, with the exception of fruit
and vegetables and the preparation of food which is later to be
sold.
- All stallholders must comply with trading standards
legislation. In particular, all products must be weighed in
metric.
