CHESHIRE DISTRICTS AND COUNTY COUNCIL JOINT SCHEME
1.1       A concessionary travel scheme has been established to operate throughout Cheshire from 1 April 2006 ("the scheme").  The scheme is being operated jointly by the District councils in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington, Borough Councils and  Cheshire  County Council ("the Authorities").  It replaces the scheme which came into effect on 1 April 1996. 
 
1.2       Under Section 95 of the Transport Act 1985, amended by the Transport Act 2000 ("the Acts") Councils are under a duty to publish particulars of the scheme and of the reimbursement arrangements.
